when i have my shifter in gear and im jus cruising along, i can actually move the shifter side to side about 1/2'' to each side. i dont think its a bad bushing cuz i checked the bushings about a month ago...anyone have this problem and how did you fix it?

 

i'm still trying to figure that one out also i've replaced all of my bushings with e. s. ones and went to a skunk shifter and it still does it

 

Dosent the boot that goes around the " ball " on the shifter alow for a little play side to side?

 

i've benn in ef's that the shifter dosent move side to side at all and mine moves about 3/4 of aN INCH WHILE IN GEAR

 

i was thinkin maybe bad engine mount, cuz my rear mount is pretty much nonexistant, but then again it moves while im jus cruising...

bump for the same problem, I just thought it was the bushings, but guess not.

 

it is related to the actaul linkage, those joints get loose...i am trying to figure out how to fix mine too
