Default Short Shifter Question

what kinda short shifter should i get? I was looking at the B&M short shifter but then they have a comptech one for like literally half the price. So i was wondering if paying that extra money is worth it. What are some of the differences between the two? its a 05 rsx-s btw

Your answer is that you get what you pay for when it comes to short shifters, If u pay less the product will lack in quality, keep that in mind

B&M invented the shifter... I'm not sure about the differences 100%... but I know b&m's will be made better and with nicer material... i saw a comparison on clubrsx and 1) b&m is obviously made better 2) the driver said he couldn't believe the difference-- and i liked his quote "why compromise on something you literally ALWAYS use when you drive your car?"
-I've always used and sold b&m shifter products- never any problems, myself and customers always loved them -always satisfied
If you haven't noticed... i recommend the b&m

Well comptech is just redesigned short shift "adapter" pieces so to speak. It is not truly a short shifter... so I think you could get the Comptech and use a shorter lever or even cut your stock lever to give yourself a short shift with a low *** height.... Also, I have only heard good things about the Comptech pieces, definately worth the money... thats what I am buying.

Just a little friendly advice that you drive the car enough to make sure you are absolutely sure what you want and that you even need a short shifter.

You have a six speed, and a short shifter that weakens the influence of the centering spring could make for a mis-shift at some point in the car's life if you're not careful.

Is there even a need for a short shifter? The throws aren't long at all, its actually at a pretty nice dictance stock.

it's alot shorter with the b & m but if you think the stock is nice there is no need for it plus my 3rd gear use to not go in fully and the short shifter sort of fixed that problem
