Check the o2 sensor.

I thought to do an OBD1 conversion you had to swap the injectors?

yeah, i was thiking about it, could it be that is going bad or is bad already? would a bad o2 sensor cause the idle to jump?

Either the o2 sensor is bad or there's a wiring issue with the o2 sensor. It was really cold here the other day and i had a jumpy idle until the car warmed up. Maybe if the heater is on its way out it will cause jumpy idle.

Try a new o2 sensor

some people say its the o2 sensor. my cel 43 turned out to be my b&m fpr. I adjusted the screw almost all out on my fpr, since i wanted to get stock fuel pressure. But when as soon as i started my car, bam CEL. so i adjusted the screw in, and it would come on occasionally. I have since turned the screw down even more, and no CEL so far. If you have a stock fpr, try and see if you can another one to swap in, and see if fix's your prob. Hope this helps
