I've experience this twice and would like to fix it before any more problem arises.
When driving, my car would totally cut off (engine turns off, all nstruments lights off). I turn the key back on and it's fine. My friend borrowed my car and said it took him 10-15 minutes to get the car started again. I think the problem has something to do with the ignition. I notice that why I turn my key on to the 2nd click, my warning lights won't come on unless I turn it a little more. I think something is worn and it's not making the contact needed for electrical conduction. Anyone had a similar problem before? IF so, what caused the problem?

 

yea had the same problem but mine would stay started unless i held the key, but i warning problems too and i change the ignition and it was fine
