putting the steelies back on/wanting to paint the hub caps
Since winter is now pretty much here, I'm gonna put my 17s into hibernation and put the ole steelies back on. Being 4th gen hubcaps...mine are absolutely hideous. That said, I was wondering what kind of paint would be best to use on those things so they are at least all the same color. Latex? Oil based? Preferrably spray paint. I know some sanding is in order, and I really don't wanna buy automotive paint just for the stupid hubcaps. I just want em to be white to match the car...
Any suggestions on kinds of paint? Any particular brands more effective than others?

Leave them off and keep just steelies on OR get new hubcaps; IMO don't paint your current hubcaps unless it is machine grey (it will still look like ***).
i think spending money to paint stock hubcaps is a waste of money, as well as time.
if you still feel the need to do it, i'd just go with the cheapest spray paint available at the store. after all, it's for winter hubcaps.
