strange axle/tranny question. help me out.
so i just did a b16 swap into my DA a few weeks ago. it's almost done, but needed a drivers side axle, so i just put the suspension together w/out it, and towed it home from my friends. i don't have a garage to work, but have space on the street to do the axle....so i get the axle today and plan to install tomorrow. when i start the car just to make sure it's still doin ok...i realized i accidently bumped it into gear, but it didn't stall. upon further inspection...it's the same for all gears. it still shifts through all the gates *grinds reverse unless put in another gear first as usual*
just curious if this is because of the missing axle? because if not jhpusa.com owes me a clutch...and some labor...and a cookie...
thanks in advance guys!

It requires both axles in the car to make it move. If one axle is missing then when you put it in gear the diffrential routes all the power to the side that doesn't have an axle in it......
