Default will a thinner head gasket raise hp? cometic or stock y8

as u read . im putting my y8 head back on my y8 block but if i put a thin head gasket will i get more hp from the higher comprecion. thank

yes you will get more HP...

but remember to run higher octane....

you don't want the case of the knocks...

you will gain a SMALL amount of hp because for every .010 you deduct from your head gasket (which equals approx 1 layer) your compression will increase by only .2

Example: If you had a stock engine running 10.0:1 using a stock 3 layer headgasket (.030 thick) and you used a 2 layer headgasket (.020) in there, your compression would increase to 10.2:1

I doubt you'd even be able to feel the slight difference in power a change like that would make. Higher octane fuel wouldn't be required for a small change like this.
