Default Opinions/Diagnosis please..... suddenly rich and other tales of woe....

Last night car ran fine. A/F at idle and part throttle 13.5 to 16, 13 to 11 in boost on a conservative base map.

This morning A/F at idle and part throttle 9.3. Idles rough and loud. Builds boost abnormally quick but makes no power so I back off. Oil is black and stinks of fuel. Can't find any vaccume leaks. Haven't done a compression check, but will soon.

b18c5 stock internals
gt25-40
35 lb injectors
walbro pump
obd1 uberdata

Any ideas? Hopefully it's not the ring lands... x mas is comming

Maybe bad map sensor or clogged? Check that

Dturbocivic wins a prize!!!

My timing was waaaaayyyyy off, like at about 2 degrees otdt at idle. But the belt was fine....

After a lot of dickin around I found that my stock ecu would run fine, but my chipped p28 was running fucked up timing. Turns out my zif socket was missing the contact on pin one. DUH!

Now I wait patiently for Moats to ship me another. *twiddles thumbs*
