Car found and stripped with Lojack
Guys as you know in my last thread my car was just stolen Saturday night.
I didn't tell everyone it had Lojackuntil they found it at the end of the thread. I just wanted to share my experience with everyone having Lojack. The first time they found the car the same night without a scratch just a busted alarm and columb. This time the found the car in about 36 hours but it was stripped to the bone. It works but some of these scum buckets are pretty clever and or lucky. I'm getting pics Friday mourning.

But lojack works only when you report it... And when you do the unit sends a signal out to patrol cars. Not all patrol cars are equipped with a reciever, the unit works by beeping, the closer you get the faster the beep.
So in his case, if his car was stolen at say 2am and he woke up at 8am that's 6 hours that has passed, given the theif more then enough time to either strip the vehicle or locate the lojack and busted the unit up...
If you all just went to the point in invest in the GPS system I have to offer you would still have a car, and you would not lose out on all the mods and upgrades you have done...
Now you also have to deal with insurance... Good luck

It was stolen in between 12:00 and 2:30, at 2:30 I reported it and had the lojack activated but they still got away with it. And they said they did find what was left with the lojack, I guess with no motor the backup battery still worked or somthing. I don't know. Like I said there clever and or lucky.

The LoJack Limited Guarantee Plus 5000 warranty is limited to the original retail purchaser and is not transferable. You must comply with all the terms of this warranty. This warranty does not cover any LoJack products that may have been installed, removed, serviced or modified by anyone other than an authorized LoJack technician. This warranty does not cover losses occurring while your LoJack Unit is not operating properly as a result of accident, misuse, abuse or damage caused by conditions in the vehicle, or improper voltage, or from fire, flood, lightning or other acts of God. This warranty does not cover the loss of the contents of a vehicle if it is stolen. This warranty shall be null and void if it is determined that the report to the law enforcement agency of the theft of the covered vehicle was false or erroneous. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that may vary from state to state. Actually I read the fine print of my paperwork and read
1. They pay 595$ for the lojack within 2 years of install
2. $2,500 + Insurance settlement cannot exceed the value of the vehicle
3. Up to $2,500 at the dealer

Sorry man... but all those are a false sense of hope... Including club and autolock... They display the warranty and gaurantee all big to catch your eye, but the fine print puts a lot of limitations and burdern on your part...
