No cat, 2.5" header back with a 18" resonator. The muffler will go in stock placement.

I semi-agree. Just for the way the insert is held it. With just wing nuts.
I would be scared that all the vibration might loosen them, then Pop. bye bye insert

Just take the wing nuts off and use some regular nuts. If you look closely, it has a gasket (the pic where it's in the muffler) so there shouldn't be any leakage.

Shouldn't be a problem, I used to use a Y-pipe on my old CRX that had wing nuts holding the open path shut, and never had issues. You just want to double check to make sure they're tight.

I say good idea to try it out. It's cheap enough and sounds like a great way to have a straight through at the track.

i have had one on my 90 hatch for 20,000 miles. i did lose one of the wingnuts, but it was because i forgot to tighten it. its a GREAT sounding muffler, does a wonderful job, and at the track, i just pulled out the plug....nice and quiet to nice and loud in about 5 seconds. the wingnuts get tighter when the muffler heats up obviously, so i dont think anyone will have a problem. there are 3 of them, so all 3 would have to fall out to lose the plug

Thanks for the info! What else did you have done to your exhaust system?

Does it have a deep tone?
