hey i recently bought a 1990 CRX but i have a lil problem and i was wondering if any one here can help me.
sometimes when i start the car the car just stops (rev goes down too) and sometimes this happens when i put the clutch down too?
i have no idea whats wrong so im hoping someone here knows.

p.s does the 1990 CRX equiped with power steering??? cos my crx doesnt have one installed (i though power steering were invented by then)

 

Need a little more info. Do you mean the car stalls out after a few seconds? Did you do a tuneup on it? Stalling can be from different things. Mainly fuel, sparek or vacuum. NO CRX had power steering

 

yeah thats what i mean, it stalls in a couple of secs, yep its been tuned up:
HKS Cams
Induction Kit
Suspension
Brakes
thats all its been tuned right now

 

by tune up i think he means like an oil change, spark plugs, plug wires, fuel filter that kind of thing.

well the only thing i've done then is changed the engine oil thats it.

How aggressive are these cams? Where does your car idle, and does it idle smoothly?

By "induction kit," do you mean just an aftermarket intake tube and filter, or are you talking individiual throttle bodies?

LOL bwahahaha

start from getting it tuned up (spark plugs/wires,fuel filter,cap,rotor,etc..)
then let us know your still getting that same problem

 

Thats quite an expensive tune up, never knew you had to change your suspension and brakes for a tune up. Usually I just spend a few bucks on a cap, rotor, plugs, and wires when i do a tune up.
