Default Help! I need to ID this car!

ok i found a civic hatch, its prob a 89 or 90. It broke down on this guy and it was towed to this shop. the guy just left the car and title there. it turned out to be the distributor. now it runs, and actually pretty good. I drove it and i couldnt find 5 gear. i asked the guy and he said that he thought it had 5 when he drove it a couple days ago but i dont think he was sure. its not like 5 was grinding or nothin it just felt liek it didnt even have one. what model could this be? I dont even think the motor was sohc. thanks in advance.

There were plenty of 4 speeds EF's. These are the base models. . . . should also be a dual point engine, they are great daily drivers.

Who said anything about a DOHC?

But yeah, it's probably the 4 speed Civic "standard"
