obd1 wiring question - pin B8-PSSW???
i have almost all of my wiring taken care of, with the exception of pin b8, i cheked the list and its PSSW. what is this? it says it also should be a brown/red wire. on my harness it is blue wire and its just haging loose.

PSP switch is a load detector. When you turn the wheel (with power steering, of course) it sends battery voltage to the ECU as a signal.
Why do you need this?
The ECU has to add more fuel/air because of the load that power steering pump will take. If it does not do this, the idle RPM will lower (or even stop the engine) because of the load of the power steering pump working.
why does it not need it at higher RPM?
The engine run lean at idle so that little loads make a big difference.
If you have wire up the switch,
one wire goes to B8
other one goes to ground
OF course, if you do not have power steering, disregard this.
