Default Passenger Window switch for the driver died on my 96 Accord

But it works from the actual door. See, someone screwed up putting the window in and cross threaded a screw, so I finally got that working, and now I can't roll down from my window. The shop claims the switch for only the passenger window went bad.
Has anyone else heard of this happening to them?

First, SEARCH button is your friend. This whole "master window switch topic" has been discussed several times.

Second, take it apart and clean it with contact cleaner spray. If it helps you can even try bending those little metal connectors that activate the window to go up or down... worst case scenario... buy a new switch of off ebay.. they are like 70 bucks for the whole master console.

Good luck

Ok, in searching archived posts I found tons of removal instructions, which I have done and isn't my question.
My question was just making sure this is a common problem, and I didn't blow $70 on a new master switch for the drivers door to find out it's not it, or the shop wasn't trying to rip me off, etc.
I swear it worked THAT day right before he fixed the window, so I was just wondering. I could rip apart the door, but if it works from the switch on the actual door, it's hooked up proper right? The Master Console wire isn't a seperate wire running from the door, correct?
