Default Dry starting on the R mota!?

Alright...so right now I'm running Mobil 1 5w-30 and I have noticed that when the car sits for a while (even just overnight) on startup it sounds like it's getting no oil in the valvetrain for a couple of seconds, and then it goes away...this is dry starting correct? Anyway, I'm thinking since I installed the exedy flywheel it's been doing it cause the motor revs up more on startup...is this a logical explanation?

-I'm not real comfortable with putting in some additives...especially after reading this... http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/...s.htm
So which weight oil should I run? I've seen the Mobil 1 15w-50 high performance stuff at the parts store, does anyone have any info on this?

THanks guys
Happy THanksgiving...almost

Most cars do that, if your really concerned you can get a oil primer setup but that's a little much.

Mobil 5w-30 is to thin a oil in my expierence/opinion. You'll prolly notice also that it just disappears. I recommend Castrol Synthetic 10w-30 to all my customers. I've never had an oiling prolum since.

mikehonda: who tried lots of diffrent oils

What about Mobil1 10w-30? Have you tried that? You use 10w-30 in all conditions?

< Who's thinking it'd be nice to use 10w-30 cause then he wouldn't have to buy two different weights for the Cibic/Integra and the CRV.

5W30 should theoritically pump faster than 10w30 or 10w50

On the flipside, 10w30 might have a better chance of staying up in the motor when it's cools down.
