i checked the fuses by the panel in the drivers side and every fuse was good...what can it be? also the plug on the right side (passengers side) is unplugged and when i plug it together it makes a beeping noise...

I can second that. Mine stopped retracting in my 92 LS, took it to the dealer, no questions asked. They ordered the belt, nothing ever came out of my pocket.

I just unplugged the connector behind the plastic on the pillar where the seat belt electical unit sits. you can then push the seat belt unit back all the way to the pillar. I know you guys are going to talk ****, but i wrecked the car and had no problems with the belts.

Same thing is going on with my 93 LS right now. Anyone know what the exact problem is? I know for sure its not my door sensor Ive checked it. The seatbelt does move but only if I hit a pothole or launch.
I took it to the dealer today. I just bought the car this week. I saw my car has been to that particular dealer before for the same problem twice. Guess what they tell me after a 3 hour wait... "sorry we cant fix it". They were saying how the previous owner might of messed with the wiring. Something about how the warranty will only cover the belts and track but not the wiring. Complete BS!
When I took it home I tore it down myself. The only aftermarket I have is a new head unit. I checked all the fuses, most of the harness by the door, the computer in the passenger kick panel, and the motor in the passenger rear panel. I couldnt find anything wrong. I unplugged everything and plugged it back up. Now I get the beeping sound that wont shut up unless I unplug something.
Tomorow I plan on tearing apart the whole interior and finding every single part of the seatbelt system and try and figure out whats wrong. I wish the DAs came with regular seatbelts.
