Default S2000 Antenna Conversion Help Please

I tried the search feature but yielded no results.

Basically, my antenna in my DC Integra only goes up halfway and makes a clicking noise.

What's wrong with it? Do I need to replace it?

If I do need to replace it, what do I need to buy and do to convert it to the S2000 antenna?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Sounds like your antenna mast cable is broken. You can find a replacement mast on ebay for about $25. It's not too hard to replace yourself.

If you want to do a s2k antenna conversion, check out this thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=592020

Also, search under archived threads for "s2k antenna" and you'll find 3 pages of threads.

as far as fixing your current mast, I don't think that you can. better off with the conversion, it looks much better anyway.

just get a s2k antenna off of ebay for about $33 shipped...

plus, you will never have to look at that annoying stock antenna again

BTW, it very easy to replace them, the hardest part "may be" getting the top screw off if you don't have the right tool. but a needle nose worked for me

speaking of shaving the antenna, has anyone tried one of those antennas that mounts near the top of the windshield on the inside? a long time ago, I heard of someone using one and they said it had good reception outside, but it was horrible if you were underneath something / in a garage. anybody know what I'm talkin about?

My antenna worked when I started up the car this morning. Then I drove to school and halfway through the ride, I turned on the radio and when I parked my car at school, it got stuck halfway up.

It seems that the antenna acts up in bad weather.
