Default HYDRO LOCKED

I JUST got home from being outside in the rain stuck on the side of the road for 3 hours, cold, soaked, and hungry.....unfortunately I was stuck in the right lane because the lane I was in merged together with the one next to me, tried to get over but couldnt because some ******* wouldnt let me in through traffic, next thing I know BAM I hit a big *** puddle of water on the side.....I think i was going about 2000 rpm in 1st when that happened, next thing I know blub blub blub engine dies on me.....I took the spark plugs out, cranked it to make the water come out, barely got it started but it started. Now the question of the matter is now my check engine light is on, anyone have an idea what it could be for????? My car feels different now even though its running .....someone help me out and give me your 2 cents on this matter, thanks.

Go get it checked out at a AutoZone or NAPA and see what cel's are showing up, then go from there.

Aite cool, chillen with the sig...do you guys think my valves/rods got bent? When I got home I took the spark plugs out in attempt to try to let the water dry out from inside the motor overnight...got in my car this morning and it started well but the idle is weird, for instance if im driving and i put it in neutral it drops to about 200 and sputters for a little but and idles back at about 800...any ideas what else might be wrong with my car guys?

check timing, compression and start from there.

most likely you'll end up with one or two cylinder with weaker compression, pour in a teaspoon size of motoroil and test the compression again.

record everything(and try measure compression with the same number of cranks to keep everything in order) and let us know what's up.

i am guessing a bent valve or two

Alright, i took my car to my friends house this weekend and got my o2 sensory replaced, did a 5 min flush before my oil change, changed my oil, used some seafoam (this stuff works great)...car seems to be running a bit better, idle seems to have gone back to normal, but my CEL is still on, any idea what it could be throwing the light for? I havent had a chance to get it checked out again, first time i checked it it was for o2 sensor...oh and btw my compression is still pretty good except for the 3rd cylinder, its just a tad off but not too much to be worried about, least thats what my friend said

p0131 = primary heated oxygen sensor (circuit low voltage)
p0300 = random misfire
p0301 = random misfire
p0302 = random misfire
p0303 = random misfire
p0304 = random misfire

yikes....check plugs and such.....dont know what to say....

The misfires are the way the computer interpreted what happened as the engine stalled. I got the same codes troublshooting what I thought was a bad iac valve. As long as they dont come back youre ok.

Reset the ECU and start from scratch, sounds like it reverted back to "OH ****" mode!!!
Good news on your compression!

Yeah you're lucky, you guys see the right up and pics from that guy a month ago or so? Holy crap it was completely flooded, broken rods/pisons and the works!

Did you even read the story asshat? He was trapped in the lane. That must have been a SERIOUS puddle for it to hydro, several inches deep. He prepared as best he could and he's done a lot of work to remedy it. He wasnt stupid. He's actually pretty smart with the CEL codes, oil change, and seafoam.
