well i dont exactly understand what you mean by the side 10 mm bolts, i believe your head bolts should be about 14mm or so. what side bolts are you referring to?
and it could be possible for it to vibrate loose from the threads and interfere with moving engine parts if it is indeed located in the head.

do you mean the valve cover bolts? i know there is something for removing a bolt thats had its head busted off, i cant recall the name tho, i think its like a helicoil or something, or is that what you put in the hole if you were to drill the bolt out thus losing the threading.

a easy out will work but if you remove the cam cap and there is some of the stud sticking up then use vice grips to help you remove it

use a bolt extractor .. you need a reversible drill and the bolt extractor bit.
