Default Very slow oil leak - dripping at bottom of timing belt cover ?

Have a 97 Civic EX D16Y8 78k miles. I have a very slow oil leak. Drips accumulate at the bottom tip of the timing belt cover from inside. I first suspected the crank seal but do not have drips at the bottom of the seal. Could it be a cam seal or maybe the crank seal slinging it onto the cover and dripping down ? Or possibly comming down from the end of the valve cover ? I plan on pulling the splash / fender lining to look this weekend. Also can you remove just the bottom timing cover for inspection on a 97 Y8 ?
Thanks

Anyone know about pulling just the timing bottom cover...or is it all one piece from the cams down ?

If it's the crank seal then the t-belt maybe oil soaked too ? I'm lookin' at first part of the year before I can afford to repair it.

earlier this summer i was having the same problem, i thought it was the crank seal but it turned out to be the cam seal. the oil would run down the head and block and drip from the bottom of the cover, never getting any on the Tbelt.
BTW the cam seal is like $7

its not actually the cover that is leaking, but rather the oil puddles up at the bottom and slowly drips.

It can also be your OIL PAN GASKET...

Happened to my friend once... he thought it was a seal, so he replaced it but the problem wasn't solved...

He replaced the oil pan gasket and applied the Honda liquid gasket and the problem was solved... no leaking anymore...

It seams that the previous owner was pulling the pan but when reinstalling it, he forgot to apply the liquid gasket cos the pan gasket was like new when we took it off...

Check that before anything else...

Its either cam seal or crank seal. If its dripping, then i would suggest getting it fixed soon. No big rush, but yeah youll probably need a new timing belt also

This was exactly my situation as well. My bet is cam seal. Much easier to replace too.
