Default FYI: You NEED this product if you store your car (or rarely drive your R).

You need this product, if you store your car for the better part of the year. Garage isn't safe anymore. Let them try to take the car w/ these on.

Get a WHEELBOOT!

Usage: These are industrial strength.
Price: is "cheap" ~$400. That's about $1 a day to have peace of mind.

p.s. Credit goes to cxShoe for the info on these boots. Let's just say that I have a couple.
p.s.s. the only way to tow your car w/ these boots on is to use an European tow truck w/ built in crane to lift your car off 4 wheels.

i thought these have been discovered before. regardless, it's good that they're still being promoted because thieves with tow trucks are the worst!!!

Yes, it's been discussed before. But, I'm just brining it up again, since Jim's R got taken from his garage.

If thieves take your car w/ these boots + alram + other measures, then it was meant to be taken.

Yeah and now the likely hood of more theives knowing where to buy the key for them is higher.

Besides many members say "nothing" when I ask what measures they've had, go search, because thats what I ask nearly every time. And the answer is usually "nothing" or "just an alarm installed by Best Buy", or Low Jack, which wont bring your car back.

I dont expect many members to drop 4 bills on one of those when they wont take many easy and free (if youre creative) measures to protect their car...

I just dont get it... You would spend 400x2 or 400x3 (since you said a couple) so 800 or 1200 for this boot

But the GPS Security System that I was introducing to you ITR Owners is too much?!?! Unbelievable...

Spend 800-1200 so a theif can't tow your car or drive off with it, but can still break into and jack the things inside it without you knowing.

vs.

A GPS Security System that notifies you anytime day or night when your car is:

Being broken into or Towed w/ the capabilities of GPS Tracking and Remotely disabling your vehicle.

What's more disturbing is that everyone here fears for their car and rarely drives it, but when given an opportunity to resolve the whole theft issue everyone looks the other way.

Don't assume that your holy GPS tracking device is the only way to go. We have a friend here on this board just got his garage and house broken into and car stolen.

Low Jack claims to track ur car too, but cars equipped with such device and got stolen are still no where to be found.

I think i just opened a can of worms to be flamed for my comments but I will back my position on my comment.

Don't be fooled by the date of my sign up, i'm just using this account to establish a name for my business, i've been a member since 1/26/2000 under akira-r. Within the past month, in this forum alone you have had 4-5 stolen and attempted break ins.

Your not understanding the unit that I am selling, the moment when the theif opens your car door within 15-20 seconds your car will call you on your cell phone to notify you of an intruder at that point you can run out to your car and protect your vehicle or scare the thief away.

If the theif manages to get your car up and running, you can remotely shut the vehicle off via cell phone and the car will not start back up. You can then track the vehicle via GPS w/ a mapping software to find out where your car is at.

If your car get's towed you car will again immediatly call you letting you know that it's being towed. You can track it via GPS and find out where it's going.

There's is an optional backup battery you can install with this unit, so it doesnt matter if they cut the battery off.

There are no audio or visual signs to let the theif know you have this unit installed!

This is the same replica unt that Police installs in their bait vehicle to catch theives

Exactly my point, what's the whole purpose of buying an alarm, lowjack, club, autolock, etc when all those methods don't notify you when your car is beig stolen? It's good to layer your car with security, but had that friend of yours had this GPS system installed, the moment when those thieves opened the door of your friend's ITR, his car would have called him and he could have called the cops enroute to his house.

Do you understand how lojack works? It's based on a transponder and reciever, basically when your car gets stolen you call the cop and they activate it. NOT ALL Patrol Cars are equipped with a reciever, in order for a cop to find your vehicle they have to be within the vicinity of the vehicle and hear the tranponder go off. i.e "beep beep" the faster the beeps the closer they are.

Do you see the difference between the GPS unit and Lojack now? GPS has a map that tells you where your car is at, accurate within 20 ft. Lojack is finding a needle in a haystack with a magnet.

Another disadvantage with lojack is that if your car is stolen at 2am and you wake up at 7am, that's 5 hours that has gone by for the theif to locate the lojack and smash it to peices, at that point there's no finding the car anymore.

Let me jump in here...

A boot will prevent the caR from being taken, a tracking system does not.

it might...

but one of these
http://www.stihlusa.com/graphi...0.gif
and a friction wheel = boot is toast.

I have seen it happen (it's a felony to cut off a tow companys BTW).

Let me re-phrase ...

A lot less chance of it being taken.

I agree with you! But this unit also prevents that also by cutting off the ECU.\ so car can;t go anywhere.

Why give them the chance of messing up your interior when you have the capability of running out to protect your car? or catching them in the act.

Again, I'm not disagreeing that those aren't good product mentioning, but none of them will call you and let you know when your car is being tampered with.

haa haa hey cos. thanks for the plug... i use to sell these but my friend moved to the east coast so no luck getting it for anyone locally anymore through me that is. there are distributors

ill get some photos of the boot. understand that this is only used to really cause the thiefs to move on to an easier prey.

and im not going to say what is better and what is not.. all i know is i have major hard core rare stuff on my car and i rest easily at night and everywhere i park.

and Cos will atest they go on and off the car in less than a minute and are very well made.
