Default that clicking noise is driving me crazy...!

ok so anyways i corrected the valve lash on my car several times but it still clicks...exhaust side to .010 of an inch and intake side to .008 of an inch and it still clicks...since the exhaust side can vary from .009-.011 and the intake from .007-.009 i thought it shouldnt make a difference rite? but it still clicks at 3000 rpms. could it be that the timing is advanced and making it click?? any help would be appreciated...

Just so you know, a "slight drag" on the feeler guage is not a "slight drag". It's a very noticeable drag.

The valvetrain needs lubrication, unfortunately the oil pan is below the block and it takes a while for the oil to get up to the head and quiet down the valvetrain.

I used .009 and .011 for my valves, and they were wayyy to loud. Try .007 in and .009 ex that should quiet them a good bit.

what weight of oil are you using? 5w i imagine right? You want your valvetrain to be as quiet as possible. The louder it is, the more wear that is occuring.

is it a VTEC engine?

if so, and your valves are correct, its most likely the lost motion sensors just below the cam(s)... there is nothing you can do to quiet them down unless you replace them. and when you do that, they ARENT cheap from honda.
