You will probably lose power with a $50 port job..

If you cant afford a port job, just get an ITR head... You can sometimes find them pretty cheap or trade your head + cash for one..

What he said... (I mean... YEA DAWG!!!!)

getting a $50 port job should only be done on a $100.00 engine.

...That's not news. But thanks.

Fine, Don't listen, get a $50.00 port... and when u reassemble the engine and take it to the track maybe THEN you'll realize: "OMG THEY WERE RIGHT... I DID GET SLOWER."

$50.00 port job is like buying a fully built B-series engine at Harbor Freight for $100.00. Ya just can't.

BTW, you do realize that a b16 head with an ITR head job doesn't exist, right? When you port a head, you use a hand tool... Therefore you will never get an ITR port job because all port jobs are different... You can get it close, but it will never be ex
actly "ITR SPECS"

... And for $50.00 it will not even be in the same ballpark as ITR specs.

I have to agree w/ the people above,I personally don't know of any porters that would even look at the head for 50 bucks, but it's your choice.Besides the most important part of the itr head is the valve job not the polishing they do in the bowls.

it sounds as if you dont understand what goes into even the most mild port, $50 sounds like 45min of work, and if this guy is only spending 45min on your port job go find a new head tonight

if the head is having a valve job done and the head is torn down already i can see a quick clean up of the bowls behind the valves to remove the core shift. i could rought it out in less than an hour . its the finish work that takes the longest, but the finish work doesnt produce power. so he might be doing just a quick rough out and some cleanup to look ok. im sure that most porters could give a quality port job with out the bling and not lose any flow. just my opinion.

this is not a port job though. its a clean up or polish.
