When driving this evening in the ever so slippery snow, I forgot that I wasn't driving the go-karts at speedworld, and my rear end slipped out. Just so we are clear, I was not braking, or turning - which made this event incredibly scary. Fortunately I have played a few rounds of the popular nintendo hit 1080 Snowboarding in my day, and I remembered that to recieve maximum points you must perform 3 successive turns, and perform the next to impossible super-trick- the 1080. I wasn't in the air (like I would've been if I was ridin') but that didn't slow me down too much 1, 2, 3 turns for a total of 1080 degrees of rotation. I then successfully 'landed' it and came to a stop at the stop sign not 30 feet away. The jaws of the crowd hit the curb in shock and awe at the miracle they had just witnessed. This got me thinking, what would it look like if I exploited my video game skillz and crx skillz and hit the mountain. After viewing these pictures; I am sure you will agree - my crx is not at home driving down a mountain of snow (not unlike a gt-snow racer), and probably not suited for performing snowboarding tricks. That said; the odd flash and dash for the crowd is not impossible (as was witnessed this afternoon).
