Default Which accord trannies are interchangeable (Automatic)

I did a search but didn't find much. What years work and are swapable?

My uncles 2000 accord auto went and hes looking for a new one.

They have the I4 model, so im wondering from what year F series trannies are interchangeable, and if the v6 and I4 also swap

thanks.

I really doubt any of the F-series trannies will work on a V6. Probably have to look into a late model Acura CL/TL tranny. All F22 and H22/23 trannies are interchangeable with each other, but not on the V6.

you need a v6 tranny from a 6th gen accord or you can try some ofhte late model acuras but you may need ot mod a bit then.

What was the reason for it going out? Honda has a extended warranty for the 00-02 v6 guys if you are under 100k. The only trannies that will work will be from the TL/CL but might require some modification. You can also put in a CLS 6 spd, but of course mod will be needed(mostly wiring issues).

If you plan on replacing it with another regualr one, opt for the 98-99 trannies, they seem to be stronger than the 00-02.

ok thanks for all the replies

i found it its not a V6 its just the I4 auto

since the trannies are swapable, is there a year limit? I mean, on honda civics i know you can swap all 92-00 D series trannies etc, but i know an auto tranny from a 4th gen civic wotn swap into a 5th or 6th, does it work the same with the accord or does any year work.

I found a guy selling a 94 auto tranny thats why i was wondering

thanks.

As far as I know, all F22A, F22B, F23, H22, and H23 transmissions are interchangeable, so the F22B transmission should work.

someone mentioned to me the 2.2 and 2.3l trannies were diff and didn't work, is this true?

he mentioned only 98+ would work on a 2000 and that 94-97 2.2l model, the tranny would not swap

any truth to this

Yes. Based on my research, only 2.3L trannies will fit.
