Default Resistor boxes from other hondas?

I was browsing the local junkyard a few days ago, and was thinking could I used a resistor box from say, an 88-91 prelude or other pre-obd1 honda?

Is this possible? Also, are they located in the same place as an 88-91 hatch (upper right corner of engine bay)?

Thanks!

They are all the same, and they're in mostly the same place, the old accords are on the front of the strut tower, I think. Some looked different, instead of the fins on the top, they were just smooth sheet metal bent into a box. The 5 wires give it away though.

My 92 Acura Vigor has one. Any Obd-0 Honda has one I'm pretty sure of...

i believe all honda(and teg's) rsistor boxes are the same as long as there from same generation (i.e green plug=green plug, greyplug=greyplug)

If you cant find one you can use resitors from radio shack. they have them in 10ohm but i parelled mine so i would get five, so i used 8 total.

I heard about people using this on OBD1+ cars so they can use dsm injectors

Thanks Paul, I'd try this but I already sourced a box

That is correct, lots of people with obd1+ use this to control the dsm injectors cause there peak and hold injectors. i get this from homemadeturbo, im using 450's in my car right now, luckily i had a resistor box in my car already. if you have a 88-91 crx/civic it just plug and play. with just a little grinding of the injector seals

here is a link that explains it all
