Default people who've dealt with Venus Auto

sup peeps, i was recently at venus auto in sacramento and i had money in hand and ready to buy one of the b16 motors they had advertised for $600 and when i got there the dude asked me if i wanted a first gen or a second gen, so of course i said second gen, he showed me a big of cage thingy with motors in it but then i look at the numbers that stamped above the 4th exhaust port and it says it a 90(1990 is first gen no?) then i was like ok is he tryin to pull a fast one on my ***??? so without saying anything about it i just flaked him. if anyone has dealt with them please comment

dont get me wrong i think 600 is good price even for a first gen but i would appreciate it if people wouldnt lie to me

zank u come again

p.s. i am going to go back to buy the motor because i dont know where else i can get stuff (im new to the area) im just looking for reasons that might change my mind

the motor may have been made well before the car, it could have been a second gen. i had a 91 b16 in my civic but it was definatley a second gen engine, out of a 92 civic.

and Venus auto is a good company to deal with, i got my R33 clip from them.
