Default My Si was stolen on Saturday, test drove an 05-S today!

Well Saturday night the unthinkable happened and my 00 Si was taken from me. I had full coverage and of course will be needing a new car.

I looked around and honestly for under 25k new I could not find any other car quite as nice as the 05 rsx-s. I went to the dealer today and test drove a silver 05-s. We had it out for over an hour. Honestly the car drove very well. It handled so nice, and the power was there. My Si (being that it had cams, etc...) seemed to pull harder up top but then again I didn't really get on the rsx to much because it only had 200 miles on it. Low end however, it blew my Si away.

I would like your honest opinions. I can get an 05 from the dealership I used to work at for 22,750. For that money what else is really out there to compare with it?? I want a new car so please don't recommend anything used.

My last problem as my dad put it "a problem I would like to have" is color! I LOVE the white, but I really want the black (ebony) interior. The ebony interior only comes with the black, blue, silver, and orange

Ah well thanks for reading and I just might be joining the family in a week or so

for 23k i dont think you'll find a nicer or better performing car. Maybe a wrx if you shop around, but personally i think theyre ugly, the trannys arent too good, and they guzzle fuel. Type s

For the money, you cant beat the RSX in my opinion.

I just got an '03 a month ago, and love it.

LOL... Don't fret. The EP3 is one of the most unpopular Hondas in history.

You'll probably end up owning some kind of kitsch classic as soon as they go out of production.

You can find a car that's better at one thing or another, but at the sacrifice of the general all-togetherness of the Type S, especially the 2005 model.

25k = WRX. Especially if you live in a cold weather area.
The RSX-S, however, is certainly comparable and a very nice car, though.

Just wanted to say, not sure if you were going to buy the model with 200+ miles on it or if that was just the test drive mobile, but don't, find one that's brand spanking new.

I was in the same situation. I was deciding between an 05 wrx and a 05 rsx-s. Test drove both, and both were very nice. I eneded up getting a silver rsx-s for a few reasons.

1. i know nothing about working on subarus, and dont know anyone that works on them. So that can be a problem. I dont feel like finding a new mechanic thats going to charge me a arm and a let to work on the car.

2. Parts are more expensive for a subaru.

3. More than likely ill never have any major problems with the honda unless im really beating the **** out of it.

4. how can i turn my back on honda? My last integra was the best car ive owned. if im ever going to replace my honda its gonna be when i have money to afford somthing really nice like a M3.

After driving the rsx for a few weeks ive fell in love with it. Such a solid, confortable ride. The car really feels like it was put together well. For being a stock car (and a heavy *** pig) it pretty quick and the handeling is very impresive!

Well good luck with your decision

Get a NBP S. I only had mine for only 7 months, but I enjoyed everytime I drove her. I want another one, but I probably cant afford insurance and another loan.

Toyota Prius, they're pretty sweet. Mini S is cool, maybe a used R32! The RSX-S is awesome of course. Isn't the RX-8 around 25 grand? Mazda 3 hatch... with a bolt on turbo with the extra cash. So many options.

$22,750 for the White 2005 DC5 Type-S? Damn, that a good deal.
My friend just bought white 2005 DC5 Type S had 15 mileages, he
pick it up for exactly $19,000 because he put down $4,000 in down payment.
Most RSX Type S have more than 100 mileages and higher. Sad thing,
people end up buying RSX Type S for more than $24,000 from greedy
sale person. Good luck and pick up the car and bring it home for holiday!

yup 22,750!

The only thing that will be added to that is the oem lip kit that I would have them throw on (but because I used to work there I'm sure I will get a deal)

Im still torn on the color though, I want white, but I am not feeling the light interior at all
