Default Honda accord trany problem. Please help

Hi,
I have a 2000 Honda Accord automatic. Recently, my check engine light is on and when I shift to D4 the trany light went off (both at the gear and on the odometer panel). Do you know what is happening to my car? Or anyone here experience this before? Please help.
Thanks

It is good you know this without knowing the trim of the car.

What model and trim is the car? It sounds like an electrical problem.
