I was looking at short shifters for my hatch with a b16. The B & M race shifter looks very nice because it bolts to the floor pan at the pivot point. Has anyone actually used one? Thanks.

i have a B&M in my crx it works real well but it rattles under acceleration sometimes

 

i have b&m short shift for my crx(d16a6). the decrease in throws are noticable, alot of my friends that has it says tha same thing.

 

i had one when my engine was stock and it decreased the throws a hell of a lot, but when i got my swap the guy told me that the b16 trannies dont do well with the short throw shifter, so i tried it with the stock shifter and linnkage.. and it really doesnt seem like it needed one to me. very short fast shifts..

i'll have to look into whether or not the shifter will work with a b-series swap.

 

I just got mine a few weeks ago. It's a huge difference, but I would recommend replacing everything from shifter to transmission (bearings etc.) except for shift linkage, and lubing what's needed to be lubed.

do you have a b-series in your 4th gen?
definitely true about the bushings. i already have the energy suspension pieces, so just need to do the replacing of the old ones.

the shifter will fit 88-00 civics, they all use the same design

it will work with a b-series

 

Yay for my ebay shifter that doesn't break and was $12.

The shifters will fit any engine, B or D series.
