Should I sell my Teg for a s2k ??
Im thinking about selling my integra for a s2k. I drove my girlfriends moms 04 s2k and I think its miles ahead of the Integra. So basically I can get a s2k as long as I can sell my car and gather about 6K (I can save about 1K a month, or get a loan so its no biggie). What would all you recomend ? I have put years of work, blood, and swaet into the Teggy and would hate to see it go. But god damn, after driving a stock s2k I fell in love. Stock vs Stock the s2k handles as good as my Integra with over $1000 in suspension mods.
of courese the s2k is a better car over all than a integra.
you can even compare the cars to each other
almost any one with a integra would trade it in for a sk2 but the question is always if you can afford it

Coming from a Integra forumn I am surprised at your responses, but it just shows how much a badass car the s is. Well, I do have a stable job, been there for over 2 years. Make $17.25 an hour and am only 20yrs old with perfect credit and no kids and still live @ my parents house and my girlfriend doesnt ask for much. I think im going to get one. WOW, I just checked kbb.com and integras values are dropping like crazy. Its going to be hard to let my teggy go, but the first time I hit 9K I think I will forget I ever owned a GSR.

if you are planning on selling your modded integra, don't anticipate getting a lot of the money you put into back. selling a car with mods doesn't add much to the value of the car (at least, not many people are willing to pay the extra money for the mods). you'd be better off returning the car to stock and selling the parts individually. even then it would seem that you'd need more than 6k to buy that s2k.

yup, part it out and sell it stock. you can also save some of the money you get from selling parts to fix the s2k if something breaks

I am going to live at home for no loner than another 2 or 3 years, during that time I can still save money even if Im paying a car payment.
I figure I can get like 9 for my car, I have 4 saved thats 13K. 00 or 01 s2k's go for like 18 or 19 so I figure I would only have to save another 6K and I will have enough.

yeah that is true.
I was in the same boat as you for a while. I had a 00 si and i was gonna trade it in for an s2k. i thought about it and thought about it. I concluded that it wouldnt be practical to get that car unless i had a stable job/career. I wouldnt wanna work my *** off for an s2k just to have an s2k. i'd rather live comfortably with my current car than have to work my *** off just to pay bills; cause im pretty sure that insurance would be alot higher too. and in the winter time...you should have a spare car to drive in the snow cause that thing sucks *** in the snow.
but...its up to you. if you have the money for it and can afford everything like insurance...then hell yeah i would do it

I had a 00 si and i traded up to a 00 ap1. My insurance actually went down $85.00. If i had to do it all over again, id still do it in a heartbeat, even though my payment is much higher than my em1. This car is a dream to drive, and its almost perfect from the factory. Its really fast stock and handles like a race car. Not many other cars out there in this price range will give you the pure joy that this car does. Id say if you have the money, then go for it. Find a low mileage 00-03. I found my 00 with 12,000 on the clock. If you are patient and look around there are deals to be found. Id try to get a berlina black one though. If you get it, please be careful and go to a driving school. This car is a lot different than your integra.
