B18B1 boring
I am building my b18b1 bottom end, and i was thinkin about boring it out .25 over. I just want to know what are the good and bad things about boring, and how reliable would this be...thnx!
i had a b18a i bored 25 over. thats as far as i would go with stock sleeves mine worked great all of 10,000 miles i put on it then sold it to build something better.

IMO I wouldnt build it for that kind of power to drive daily but yes it can be done!
To handle that kind of abuse, i suggest:
Shotpeening factory rods
ARP 8mm rod bolts
New bearings
Post the block with kit from endyne

i was going to bore the cylinders .25 over, get CTR oversized pistons, ARP hardware, eagle rods ,and new oem bearings...i think it should be pretty solid...just debating over the bore, if i should do it or not...i already have an LS head with crower cams, dual valve springs and retainers, so it will be a built engine....i just need reliability.
