Default Looking for an alarm for my 00 civic

I am looking into an alarm for my 00 civic and I am looking for suggestions. I have never had an alarm before but I would like to get one. What is a good alarm?

I've had a Viper on my car for the past 6 years, and it's never falsed.

Just remember this when you're shopping. The alarm is only as good as the install.

So what you want to do is install a "layered system" an alarm with starter interrupt , with hood and trunk/hatch triggers, add a batt. backup siren, add a stand alone cutoff switch for the fuel pump.

Now as for alarm brands, If you can find an Alpine SEC150 go with it , the 150 is a 2 stage impact/2 zone proximity alarm with all the inputs and outputs that you need to do most anything. Compustar also makes very good alarm, alarm/starters both 1way and 2way pager type, and most anything by DEI is ok also. 94

I'll tell you what I have when I get home from class. My friends say I protect my car like its an Infinity. I believe my alarm is the new Clifford G5 alarm. It has a great anti-theft system where if you open my door and hop in for a ride, the ride will probably last 20 seconds before my car shuts down. Also, you have to input the pass code in every time the alarm is activated. I also have the automatic starter along with the kit, but the only thing is I have stick. The guys bypassed the clutch, but this is pretty dangerous. Tweeter won't even do this for you on a stick. It cost me about 600 after the install. Might sound like alot, but I live in Philly. My luck has been good so far (knock on wood). Also, the alarm comes with like a $7,000 return if you car gets stolen. I hate thieves with a passion and would hate for my Honda brothers and sisters to lose out on something they've worked so hard for. Again, sorry for the rant and I’ll get you the info when I get home from class.
