Rear Engine Mount .
Hello Honda people
What are the symptoms of a rear engine mount going bad ??
Because I had noticed that when I take off hard from a stop or let off the gas at 1st gear or 2nd gear I feel somthing is not wright , it feels like a big bang .
Even I did the test of opening the hood and with the handbrake pulled, put it in 1st and a friend of mine watched the movement of the engine when i tryed to let off the clutch and in 1st gear the engine didn`t make a huge movement but when I put it in reverse the engine did move quite alot !!! is it the rear engine mount going bad because that`s what my friend told me ...
Should I replace the mount or should I get some Energy Suspention engine mount inserts ??!!
Or should I replace the rear engine mount + install the engine mount inserts as well ??!!
Please help guys
Thanks
Marlon.

2nd on the prothane being stiffer. I can fold the ES ones almost in half... the Prothane I could barely nudge. Engine movement was drastically reduced under simple reving.
Oh so fun to install too....

Sounds like the mount.
There are a total of 4 17mm bolts that you have to remove. The mount is attached to the bottom subframe which is held on by 3 14mm bolts.
The best way to manuever around those is to have a gear wrench of some sort and/or swivel sockets.
Replacing the mount would solve your problem. The inserts will intensify more motor vibration into the cabin.
Good luck.
