check engine light is on need some help
My check engine light came on and i went to autozone and had the codes pulled. the code is P0141. I got a piece of paper that says how to troubleshoot the problem. This is what it says.
The PCM has determined that a malfunction exists in the heater circuit for oxygen sensor 2 in bank 1. (oxygen sensor 1 is closest to the cylinder head before the catalytic converter) (bank 1 identifies the location of the cylinder #1, while bank 2 identifies the cylinders on the opposite bank).
I'm guessing that this means i need to replace oxygen sensor #2? i have also noticed that my gas mileage has decreased a little, but not significantly. i have read a few things that says when an oxygen sensor is bad your gas mileage will decrease. is this true? how easy, or hard, is it to replace the oxygen sensor or how do i test the sensor to make sure it is working properly?

it has 78,000 miles on it, but i'm not the original owner. my guess is that it will not be covered by warranty correct?
is it hard to replace by myself?

ok, so i unhooked my battery because i was installing some subwoofers in my car. once i hooked the battery up again the check engine light went off and has not come on since. should i be worried about this or not?

It would be covered under the emmision warranty extension on 96 and 97 Hondas and 95 Accord V6 models. 14 years or 150,000 miles.
