What makes you think it is the ECU?
Does the car crank? Have you checked to see if you are getting spark? What exactly happens when you try to engage the starter?

hm, i have yet to hear of an ecu randomly die out, however im sure it is possible. it sounds like youve checked everything over though, so maybe it is your ecu. youll definately wanna get a p28 though. if you somehow find out that it wasnt the problem, you could always ship the extra p28 my way
I get ecu's all the time that have just crapped out for no reason.
As everyone has said, check all the connections, then go from there. You should also try your ecu on someone elses car just to see if it is your ecu.

Main relay? Are you sure you have all the ECU plugs inserted all the way? I've had that happen more than once.
Also, are you getting power to the ecu? If the main fuse under the hood is blow, then you'll get nothing. I think it's a 7.5 amp blade type fuse.

well it appears that the ecu isnt hte problem. then again working with a honda salvage yards its very rare to see an ecu burn out on its own, usually it takes flooding, an idiot in teh wiring, or some orhter sort of thing happening to cause an ecu to fail.
by any chance can you here the fuel pump prime whne you turn the key to the on position?
