Default Are these RC 750cc injectors seated the right way??

I was told that RC injectors are not supposed to sit as deep in as the stock injectors, and that the gromets ar not even supposed to go inside the manifold openings just sit on top of it. I bored out the seals and got the injectors to sit flush with my Skunk2 manifold. So, did I do it right or am I going to have problems?

If you use the stock grommets, they'll sit just like the stock injectors. If you use the tapered grommets, they'll sit higher.

The tapered ones are easier to install since you don't have to mess with boring them. Although, I'm not sure where to get the tapered grommets from b/c I like them a lot better.

The injectors came with grommets that looked exactly like the stock grommets.

You're not supposed to bore them out. The injector seals that came with my RC750s are identical to the ones I ordered for my '99 Civic Si (part# 16472-PH7-003). Oil and install the seals in the manifold, oil the o-rings on the top of the injectors and install them in the fuel rail, line up the injectors, and tighten down the fuel rail. Since I have an ITR manifold, I had originally ordered ITR seals, which are probably twice as high as the ones mentioned above, but never used them. The plastic fuel rail spacers go on top, instead of underneath the fuel rail. It's been this way with my RC310s, and 440s. No fuel or vacuum leaks. Read the papers that came with the injectors.
