Sometimes vtec doesn't engage. I'm going to replace the solenoid gasket rather than clean the screen. Oil is full, vss works, engine is warmed up, no cels.. It's an intermittent problem. I know a couple of other possible causes but i'm hoping a new gasket will remedy the problem.

I did a search and found out that the 91 nsx vtec solenoid gasket is a replacement for 1st gen b16 vtec solenoid gasket.

Has anybody tried a 91 nsx vtec solenoid or vtec solenoid gasket on their b16?

 

why not a del sol, b17 or 99-00 b16a2 gen?

never heard anyone use a nsx part on there b16

After reading these threads it seemed like the nsx gasket is the correct one and the other pr3 gaskets/solenoids won't work.

Seems like it will work since the gasket matches up. Just wanted to know if anyone's tried it.
