Scalloped Tires?
Well, here we go.
Fisrt off, Im riding on H&R sport line springs (1.5 front -- 1.7 rear...I think) with KYB AGX adjustable struts on my 91 CRX si. I also have a JimFab bar. I have 205/50/15 Azenis tires wrapped on a 15in rim. I noticed the other day that the inner part of my tire is scalloped (also a little worn down do to camber).
I want to know what causes a tire to become scalloped or wavy like this? Bad alignment? Toe being in or out? My steering wheel points a lil left, it drives somewhat straight, but when I gas it, the front end of the car feels like it goes crazy. I feel like I have to fight the steering wheel to keep it straight. I have a B16 with a Quaife LSD in her.
Would the LSD cause any symptoms like this?
Also, my front end feels sloppy, loose, shitty to me. Call me ****, but I hear a nasty *** clunking noise from the passenger side wheel. I replaced both lower ball joints, and my drivers side wheel bearing has been replaced, I was thinking my passenger wheel bearing might be going.....but I dont feel or hear the lump lump noise that comes from a bad wheel bearing. I went under my car the other day to check everything, crossmember bolts (all of them), lower ball joints, all suspension bolts and they seemed good and tight.
I know I have like a hundred questions and I will be happy with just one answer out of the hundred questions I asked.
Im just frustrated with this and fed up. I have no clue what it could be with any of these problems and its pissin me off.
So thanks for taking the time to help me out and any help is appreciated.
Matt

If the car goes wild when you get on the gas, and uneven wear, you may have worn bushings allowing things to move around, especially if the front end feels like ****. Toe out can cause that too, but it's hard to adjust toe when things keep moving around.
As for your tires, the pressure on the sidewall is not the reccommended pressure. The car manufacturer (or user) decides how much air to put in, the 44psi on the sidewall is just the maximum pressure it's rated at. Most little hondas use 32psi, most people who drive harder use more, 40 is about at high as I would go, starts making things feel bad.

Inner shoulder wear is caused by excessive negative camber and/or excessive negative toe/toe out.
A sawtooth pattern of the shoulder tread blocks indicates toe wear. If it's not visible, you can tell by very lightly running your hand side to side so your fingers can feel for smooth one way and grabby or "catchy" the other way. The worn shoulder could also have camber wear, but the presence of sawtooth definitely indicates toe wear. If it has none at all, it's camber only.
Center or even shoulder wear is over- or under-inflation wear respectively.
Wavy up and downs (no sawtooth) means you have worn out suspension parts.
drdisco69 is right and no alignment on this planet will fix your probs if you have worn parts.

Ok, so its looks like its coming down to a toe problem. I did notice when running my fingers over the tire that it did seem the way you discribed. Smooth one way and then "catchy" the other way. Im going to throw it on the alignment rack and watch these dumb rednecks here in my town try to figure out how to adjust my alignment with my jimfab.
Now I got to figure out the clunking noise coming from the passenger side. It could be from worn out bushings since the car is so old, but I replaced my lower ball joints and my Jimfab took place of my tie rod bushings. Only bushings I have left is the upper ball joint and the bushing for the fork that holds the strut up in place.....correct?
Thanks for help guys.
