Default Steering Problems

Yeah i gotta 93 vti hb and like a week ago i hit a curb pretty good on the right side and ever since the steering has be acting alittle weird. Kinda loose and crazy on bumpy roads and sometimes doesn't wanna return to neutral. Took it in and got my alignment checked and it was good nothing was bent or loose. He said there might be something wrong with the steering rack but i dunno i don't see anything leaking or anything. Does this sound right to you guys? i hope it isn't cause that seems alittle expensive. any other ideas what would cause this??
