cold start valve right below the throttle body may need to be adjusted

i don't think obd2 cars have the fast idle thermo valve under the tb.... the fast idle is handled by the eiacv.

its controlled by the idle control valve. what does your motor idle at normally? Your map sensor will make your car run like ****. if its not hooked up or its not functioning properly your car will be in a semi limp mode. you need to get that code taken care of. the oxygen sensors being bad will just make the car run super rich. but the Pesky OBDII could throw ur car into limp mode for those as well. so that explains why your car barely idles and dies.

Will the map sensor make the car backfire or bog as well? I have suspicion that my map sensor is causing my bad cold-starts.

My car's been bogging and backfiring...
