Accord V6 (98-01) AEM by-pass valve
those w/ an CAI, did you have to cut the piping or did u just connect it in between the two pipes? if so, how did it fit? post some pics if u can, thanks...
Depends on where you two pipes join. It might actually work with some of their 2-piece systems without cutting, but... AEM recommends putting the bypass valve as close to the throttle body as possible, but NOT on the TB (the bypass valve will break from engine rocking). As I had a 1-piece pipe (5g Prelude AEM CAI) I had to cut it twice (you have to shorten the pipe 1 or 2 inches to accomodate the bypass valve) with a hacksaw. It is a bitch, but can be done.
thanks, but remember the v6 is completly different from an h22, the intake is on the right side of the engine bay, rather than the left found on yours...
Yeah I know. I just want to show pics of my setup 'cause I had to move the battery to the trunk (which I wanted to do anyway) to fit the 5g Prelude CAI in my 4g Accord.
