Posted this in Audio forum, aswell, but thought that you guys might be able to help me out quicker:


I bought a Reverse Wire Harness for my 97 Civic EX last night, and went to install it today. I turned the car off, took off the current caps that were already in place, and just connect the harness to that. So I turn the power back on, and the stock radio is not getting any power. I try to see if my aftermarket radio is still working. It has power, and shows time, and station.. stuff like that, but the CD part doesn't work, and NO SOUND comes out of the speakers. What the hell am I doing wrong?!?! Thanks.

1) goes to stock harness (reverse harness)
2) goes to stock stereo
3) goes to aftermarket stereo

looks right to me sure your stereo worked properly and you didnt short it out?

 

It looks like you only have 2 wires ran to the stock radio plug.. is this right? If so, which wires? Just the power? I think I might have blown a fuse because my CEL isn't on (was before [ IACV ]), and my interior light doesn't come on when you open the door (yes it's on the right setting). Thanks for your help.

 

there is three wires
1) black wire (ground)
2) red wire (power)
3) yellow wire (constant)
