eh u can easily argue that you dont clutch fast enough if you cant take advantage of the quicker throws,
a short shifter is really only for feel, and it depends solely on the driver and what they like. some swear by shorter throws, some say its pointless,

i mean sounds like a great produc, bu im not sure that it will help me that much
just a question: sometimes when im shifting fast, i mishift and instead of goin from 2nd to 3rd, the car gets stuck and goes fron 2nd to Neutral, would a short shifter help this? or could someone tell me how to fix this
tranny fluid is gettin changed asap

To get to third the right way remember that all it is from 2nd to 3rd is just pushing up. you dont have to direct it to third gear just push up when in second.

Correct. Dont try and "aim" for 3rd. I believe my short shifter does help this because since there is a slight increase in cable pressure, the shifter feels as if it wants to pop into 3rd as soon as you bump it from 2nd.

lol....I get that a lot. I was a hardcore enthusiast before I ever came out with this product and I still post frequently on all the boards. I don't try and make a living off of this so I like to have a little fun with it.

I've heard that they "feel" really good.
I've also heard that it decreases the chance of misshifting
so that's another good thing.
I still plan on getting one

yeah i noticed that when i first drove mine around with the shifter in there. I tried to speed shift into third and missed the gear trying to aim for it
Now i know just to pop it right out of second and it will pretty much do the job for me

forbidden, since you seem to be the pro on the topic, does anyone make a short shifter for civic hatches or coupes that is equal in quality to yours?
ANd also what you said about just pushing up to get into 3rd...does that only work in the higher rpms? I would be afraid to shift into first and leaving my tranny on the ground if that was the case.

Sorry, no experience at all with B series shifters.
As I mentioned, due to the increased angle of the shift cable coming off the lever, it creates more pressure and the shifter wants to snap back to the neutral position. This is why when you bump it out of 2nd, especially at high rpms, it wants to jump right up into 3rd.

4bidden, just curious, would you have a 5th gen SS too? Or are we talking about a custom job here?
btw...ot, how hard is it to install the short shifter, dont you have to pull your center console and un bolt stuff, and then put it back together, or is it much harder?

just installed my forbidden shifter last week. works great. much better feel. i have a 95 cx hatch with a h22 in it, and i miss the way a rod shifter feels. the forbidden shifter makes the cable shifted tranny feel alot more like a rod type
. as quoted by my cousin (who has a b16 hatch.) who has driven my car many times "that is the best part you have bought for your car, other than the motor" thats how much we like it. well worth the money. thanks jeremy
