Default some new 1320 runs and compression numbers, for those interested.

sup guys.

went up to bith-slow here in orlando tonight. 68deg and somewhat humid.
I ran with new es100s, 25psi front, 42psi rear. recorded a 14.687 @ 94.60
which is the fastest this car has seen in my hands. the car is daily driven
and only sees 93 and 10-40w full syn amsoil (or Castrol Syntec when Im out)

.497
2.279
6.281
9.523/75.84 1/8 (spun the FT 1-2 shift pretty good, probably didnt hurt me)
12.316
14.687/94.60 1/4

I warn you, im not the greatest driver. the chassis is GSR DC2. the motor is
Stock98GSRhead/Stock01ITRblock/OEMHG. StockGSRtranny with 8lb flywheel/segmented kevlar clutch(40K), stock 99 wheels/es100s, stock99GSRIM/tb, ECU, stockintake(K/N, DYICAItube), CTRinCam/GSRexCam, ComptechTIG2.25"header/test pipe/GSRcatback/ITR muffler. I have 58K on the block and the head was said to have 30-40ish when we relapped the valves and put it in nearly 60K ago. The car is a bit of a bastard mess of parts

current compression numbers:
hot motor, WOT, no spark plugs, no fuel fuse
cranks: 10x/7x 1.) 270/265psi, 2.) 270/265psi, 3.) 267/260psi, 4.) 270/267psi

I burn about a qt every 1K miles driving like I mean business, shifting hard, etc.
Ive been driving alot lately, so I figured I would post this result. I love my R
block, yes I paid $ for it new FYI I can say that it needs a few things.
all in all, still loving the teg Im thinking about a T1R exhaust with
a new 2.5" testpipe, TB and IM work, Buddy Club 3+ cams and a retune. I am
not about peak power as much as I am for response, economy and drivable power right now, I am sure I have a fair amount of bottle necks, considering
it is only putting down about 170 at the tire. It is untuned electronically, everything
has been done with moving minor cam timing, keeping everything lashed right
and maintained to spec. One of these days, I am sure I will be able to run her
the way it was meant to be any comments, suggestions, questions welcome.
this is pretty much just to spur any conversation with like minded folks.

I must have a pretty good gsr then. I am not downing your setup at all. I just was dissapointed with mine. Here is what i have
96 gsr head and stock im ported by me. Manley valves hicompression and a .20 mill on the head. The ccs on the chambers were about the same as stock after porting minus 3 ccs. I had an act clutch clutchmasters flywheel and a dunk exhaust. Also a dc sports 4-2-1 and an iceman intake. No tuning what so ever on this car. I have won numerous street races and ran 9.42 in the eighth on kumhos and a 2.185 60 ft. I believe my setup gives me alot in the middle of the band as a short shift in the first three gears gave the best time. Or it might be the jdm itr tranny 4.78. I have lots of problems with my car and might do better with a propper alignment. car eats the inside of the tires every 2 months need new ones. I believe it is toe as the problem. I like your setup and almost identical times as mine. Though i try almost every strategy at the track and street. Hell my car has beat cars time and time again it shouldnt . I beat a vtec supercharged prelude 2000 which my buddy running my car couldnt touch. Numerous all wheel drive dsm cars but have never beat a front wheel drive dsm. All in all i like you set up and am more appreciative of mine. Do you miss your old set up?

actually, no I dont miss the old setup. I miss the money I put into that setup when I blew it up, and that was due to lack of knowledge and good friendships which I have now that helped me learn. Yea, this motor is really, fun. It wails on narrow throttle really well, I hardly floor the car at all... here and there. It makes good partial throttle power I know the feeling on that, most guys throw away the GSR IM, personally for the street I love mine. It fills that classic HOLE that only standalone tuning hides on the single plenum setups. Nice, smooth VTEC transition, I hear it more with the SS header and test pipe now, however the IAB sounds nice in my car because I radiused out the plate where the secondaries enter, they taper down so I am sure that increased the velocity when the IAB opens. I would like to put a 65mm TB on there when I do the exhaust. I really dont want to do cams now because everything else is a bottleneck. If I do the TB
and the 2.5" exhaust with a special test pipe, I will be ahead of the game me thinks. I am sure that the car will make mad power because its restricted as all get out now with the GSR catback on there, even with the ITR axle back. When I mean mad power, I mean more than I have now... haha. Yea sounds like your setup is mean. This is my first time down the track in this setups life with a new tire. I mean, this tire still had the bars on it because they were the ones on the rear. I think I deflated them too much. I should have tried a pass at 26psi before I went down to 24. The 1-2 FT shift SPUN hard which I think might have helped acceleration, who knows, all I know is that I believe this car as is can see a 1/8 mi time like yours and run about a 14.5. I pulled the passenger seat out a few weeks ago because my boy who has crutches was ridin with me. I never put it back in. I dont think that really matters. My car has full interior other than that. all in all, this car can get much faster. OBD2 ecu, stock catback, GSR gearing, open diff, small cams, stock intake... If I ever get over this spot in my financial history, I am sure my integra will get even more fun. I have my eye on what Omniman is doing with those Titanium rods. His car is nuts... it keeps getting faster. As far as I am concerned, we have more to see from the B motor. I am all about seeing how far I can go 1.8L with a clean setup. Displacement is the LAST thing I am going to do to my car. For now, I need some rear struts, exhaust, a new TB, install my VAFC and tune, put in an ATS and raise the revs to 9 and I think I can see 14.0 by the end of next year sometime heck, maybe see 13s with BFGs. My car is still slow, so I can dream 13s as far as I am concerned is a GSR just getting started

thanks for the cool post. I was worrried all night that you might take it wrong and get pissed off. I was just stating that with minimal mods we seem to have picked up quite a lot. I recently installed itr oversize pistons in my car and the machine shop overbored too much. I have to get bigger pistons now or os rings. My car smokes like hell now and even with the new pistons im down on compression. Keep in touch and well see what simple mods can do.

as a side note i used to set my tires at 18 psi on the front because of the bad allignment on my car. I really hooked up on kuhmos. Not even 712s i used the 711s in a 215 50 15 version. Also you trapped 2 mph higher than me so i guess you would be faster after you get that 60 down.

thanks guys, yea the highest trap I saw was on BALD es100s a couple weeks ago.

8.12pm, 10/22/2004 I dont remember track conditions too much, but I do
remember spinning the 1-2shift well before it hooked

.597
2.293
6.346
9.598/77.10
12.396
14.749/95.94

I do plan on doing some tuning on the current setup. I think I can realize some
increase in response if anything a few more ponies cant hurt either...
not to mention a touch more MPG

vtecmissle: hope you are able to find out whats best on your bottom end. honda's spec piston to wall clearance is SO TIGHT... alot of guys get that wrong and overbore without need. if the walls are not scratched and they mic well all the way down, you can still use standard size if you know how to prepare the motor

yea, thats quick. Ill be there sooner or later InterTuneTv is getting there bro. Basically waiting for the right timing with Steve. Omnipower has really come on strong and he has been putting 300% into his line which has required him to do alot of travel and focus on that. Our 126whp/liter b16 build video is ready to send to the mass production line, its just a matter of putting down the cash. We plan
to presell the DVDs and ship them once we get the copies from the house. There
will be 2 three-four hour volumes of actual work on the motor with dynotuning, etc. I am excited to think about the potential. Steve has been all over the place in the last year and so have I. I am as eager as the rest of us to see what the future
holds

yea, the CTR intake can make a nice difference in power across the board, along with some more responsiveness. I retarded my exhaust like a degree and went forward on the CTR like 2, run my timing at around 17 or so. I noticed a notable improvement in response above 6G.

I can feel the weather changing here in FL right now. Its getting drier and cooler which is good. My car always seems to run best at dusk before it gets humid. Hopefully, I will be able to make some runs on Wed night under these circumstances with fresh oil and tranny fluid change. The car ran really strong this evening for some reason, it pulls 3rd and 4th really well. I feel as if with the right launch I can see high 2.1s and pull a deeper time. Im just getting used to the new tires. I feel like I can see 14.50's before further tuning it or even replacing the stock exhaust. I think Titan is having an open dyno day this month, I will go to see how the motor is doing. Maybe I can put in my VAFC so if there is something that needs correcting, I can do it then
