Sometimes it dont click on. It started getting worse lately now sometimes i can hear it click and hear the fuel pump come on but it will bog and hesitate really bad could it still be the main relay.

Also i pulled the main realy out and took the cover off then plug it up and let it just hang there and i could hear it click a lil. but coudnt hear the fuel pump so i shook it a lil then i could hear the pump come on

I thought the correct way was to remove the solder and then resolder it. What's the sandpaper for?

From my past experiences with a bad main relay either it works or it doesn't. Have you looked at the fuel pump?

haha, sucker. I have main relay problems all the time. I didn't have to replace jack squat though. I just hit the relay with a screwdriver a few times until the car starts.

or better yet, when I have weird electrical problems, i just reset the ecu and cross my fingers that my car won't blow up. It's worked for the last 6 months so far...

Normally, I would care, but I'm getting a dohc zc in a month.

Ya that makes sense, your getting a new motor, don't worry bout the fact that you will have the same wiring for it.Keep your fingers crossed

I resoldered mine, and it solved my starting problems. Used a soldering iron and a desoldering tool (the bulb type) to remove, and then resolder. You'll need a pretty high wattage iron, there's a lot of material that acts as a heat sink.

If it works, it's a great $0 fix.

yeah, because the wiring is totally going to explode! lol...

the problems are related to sensors that will be replaced when the new motor is in, but that probably didn't occur to you.
