ok here is the deal my boy has a 90 prelude si and he has a h22 head on his b20 block now i know that is impossible but he says keyworks says it is a h22 block i think it is a vtec valve cover on his dohc b20a but he says it is vtec if i can im going to take pictures on sunday or monday of it and post it but is it possible because i have a b20a block in my prelude!!

 

Hey, your post is really hard to read, use sentences and punctuation.
I think you are trying to say that he has an h22 head on his b20 block? Swapping a b series vtec head onto a b20 block isn't anything new, but people do it with the crv b20's which is a different b20 than the old preludes. I don't know the specific engine codes though. Never heard of an h22 head on a b series block. Anyway, fix your post.

 

no no no it is a b20a from a prelude engine from a 90 prelude engine i was told that the b20a is a bastard child of the b series it is a mistake pretty much nothing else is compatable with it so that is why i am in such shock when he told me and showed me what he had under the hood

 

You are right; the B20 is nothing like the B-series in Civics and CRV's. You cannot swap on the H22 head.

If you're sure it's VTEC, it's probably the entire H22 engine swapped in.

 

Check the stamp on the block.

 

i didn't get to see it yet but someone told me there is a possiblity that he found a h22 head and just took the valve cover off of it or bought one on ebay but still he says it is i am going to take some pics of it and post it how do i post the pics on the post (still kind of green when it comes to somethings on this website)

 

Nah, I really doubt the H22 valve cover will come close to fitting on the B20 head.

yeah i took some pics of it and looked it over the kid is a big fat liar it is a stock b20 block he has a stamp on the side that says TEC on it and he thinks it is vtec and the valve cover was a ebay cover when i got a good look at it

 

no offense or nothing, but if you used sentences, it would be A LOT easier for people to help you.
