well how common is car theft in your area? I would say not quite as much as ITR's but if its a nice honda, just be careful.

Not often at all but it could happend at any time and any moment, use the search function to see how often preludes are stolen compared to integras and civics.

If you want numbers search google.com

Well my car was stolen about 2 years ago on Christmas and was stripped, same year my buddy's 4th gen Si was stolen and never turned back up, my mechanic's son's VTEC 4th gen was stolen the year prior and stripped of EVERYTHING, this past year I heard of two 5th gen's that were stolen...... I only know 3-5 other Prelude guys that haven't been robbed yet.

Wow, I didn't think it was that bad around here! Now that I think about it.....

rust spot + rusted donuts and torn interior = nobody would want to steal ur car. and you could sit there with a mean engine. make it have funny noises too.

here is a link to a funny sounding WRX. the BOV sounds like a duck quacking really fast...engine sounds broken..but i really need to poop and i pulled an all nighter and just got off work. ill try to get it later on tonight..in like 12-15 hours..i have to wake up at 4 and i have work at 5 pm again.

edit: here is the link. http://poststuff3.entensity.ne...l.wmv

Paint it like this and no one will steal it

(I am aware that it's ugly, thank you.)

I'm superjealous of the window tint. You know that was done by a white guy.

If there is no ethnicity in your blood, don't try and tint your own windows.

Haha....not that side. I'm still trying too decide whether to paint it black or blue. It's just spray paint right now.

preludes aren't stolen much where i live. just civics and integras.

i think thats because any 15yr old joe can buy a civic for 1000 bucks. then what do they want next? a motor. so they steal si's and gsr's for the motor, because a one-armed blind chimp can do the swap. and they are obviously too lazy to save. the h22 swap actually takes some time and know-how. and money to complete, so "many" thieves veer from it.

well im from toronto... and a few years back it was the number one stolen car in canada for a couple of years running ( 4'th gen that is)
this is like 97..98.. havent really kept record of the stats but i know at the present time the number one stolen car in canada at the moment is wrx..
im pretty sure after the prelude came the type r / gsr... which both kept the number one spot for a while...
and in the recent yeras it was the navigator and a bunch of other suv's
but the preludes are pretty stolen lol
got a theft recovery a few months back (Sold it unable to re-build it myself)
and that pic.. its pretty sick..
lol
btw i know those holes in the rear bumber are supposed to serve some purpose maybe not on your car but ive seen it on a couple of civix any clue wtf its for?
im guessing some kind of downforce but not too sure it its that and how it would work..

It's so the air traveling under the car isn't caught by the rear bumper.
Serves no purpose on that car though

(I am aware that it's ugly, thank you.)</TD></TR></TABLE> It could still be stolen. Hell a blue gross fender is still a prelude fender worth money to someone with a messed up fender.

Anyone ever question people selling multiple weird car parts from several different hondas. i.e cluster from a lude, head light from civic...
