Noise form Brakes!!!!
Yo, i gotta aquestion that needs some serious answers. i have an accord and when i am driving and begin to press on the breaks the car begins to make this loud noise, like im running something over. also when i go 2 make a turn it does the same.
ya wuts happenin, is that wen i step on the brakes, it makes the same sound as wen i turn, either way. i thought it was the shocks but im not sure. it jus sounds like somthing is getting ran over.
well it could be a couple things...
1) your pads/rotors need to be replaced
2) could possibly be your cv shaft?
3) maybe part of your suspension is loose on the upper part of the suspension?

ok thank u. do u kno how much them things would be to replace? and also wen painting a valve cover, wen u tak it off do u need 2 buy new seals, so it doesnt leak?
Depends on which part you need to replace and if you are able to do it yourself...?
As for the valve cover yes if you remove it you need to replace the gasket. Myself i just layed a bunch of newspapers around the valve cover and taped off everything i didnt want painted with a lot of scotch tape and painted it still on the car....came out very decent....and for the VTEC lettering i used a paintbrush and sprayed the paint in a bowl and did it that way...

I got a 5th gen and it does the same thing. Its getting new bearings, rotors, and pads replaced as I write this. Hopefully I'll pick tha car up at 4 o'clock today and tell you if it fixed the problem.

when they took off my wheel and hub they called me to tell me that my hub was cracked or something. And that the bearing was cut into it. I couldnt really figure out what the hell he was talking about over the phone... but i know they were not ripping me off cuz he is a good family friend..so go figure.. so far I've spent 613 dollars on it and they prommised to have my car back by monday morning.
Brembo rotors and pads $158
2 wheel bearings $105
Left HUB assembly $170
Labor $180
**** is seriously hitting my pockets I hope your's aint that bad. I'll let u kno tho

thats a worst case scenario though. Expecially for a hub assembly that you have to pay for a new one cause its at a shop. You could normally get a used one and be just fine. Also usually its just the wheel bearing that goes bad not the whole hub. and your price is that high cause you're spending money on brembo brakes...OEM brakes are much cheaper.
Got my car back and wow! Its running like a champ! Brakes are sick...sicksicksick It feels like I can stop from 100-0 in coupla feet! Anyway... my hub had to be changed cuz bearing was not sitting tight on it. New hub came with the bearing on it already and I am actually selling my new bearing on ebay now that i didnt use. problem is fixed. If you need a new bearing here it is..cheaper than retail by 12 dollas! :-) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...=WDVW
