code 1 is oxygen sensor. Does you light come on as soon as you turn the key into the on position? That is what mine does man it sucks.
eda6: not too sure what you mean? can you explain more?
I replaced my o2 sensor with a denso universal.. so it shouldn't be a problem

The female pins on the ecu plug might not be making contact with the male pins on the ecu. Resulting in everything appearing normal along with an open circuit.
First confirm continuity from ecu plug to o2 sensor. If that's ok, pull the cover off the ecu. Identify the o2 sensor pins on the inside. Plug the ecu plugs into the ecu and check continuity from inside the ecu. You'll find the open in between the ecu and the ecu plug if it exists.

are you sure its not a code 10 and not a code 1? I just fixed my problem i thought i was throwing a code 1 but it was not o2 it was iat. I replaced it and reset my ecu and codes went away. Just a thought. I told you i would keep you updated.

Everytime i ever cut my wires on my oem harness of my 02 sensor, no matter what my code would no go away.
(solderd connections and everything)\
get a new oem sensor

i replaced the o2 sensor already... the code 1 is invincible..

the problem with that is i will have to cut it no matter what as I need to extend the wires for it to reach my downpipe...so i don't see where getting an oem sensor will help..
i have the same problem, but it only comes on when i step on the brakes or decelerate quickly. i shut the engine off and turn it back on and it goes away. the thing i dont get is that what i shut off my engine and check for codes, it will only give me a code 1 until i reset my ecu, then it will go away completely.
best bet is to buy an oem o2 sensor and have someone do the wiring for you, that way its warranted.

deftones was correct.. I was NOT reading the light correctly.. it in fact is a code 10.. for IAT! THANK YOU VERY MUCH GUYS! now i think i see the light!
